The files in this directory come from a 1990 snapshot of gdmr's TCP/IP
implementation for VAX/VMS and Fred-machines.  These ones are the VMS
versions.  There is also a custom "tcpdriver", which was written because
using native mailboxes turned out to be too slow as there were too many
copies between buffers done by the kernel.  The whole suite allowed
for bidrectional rcp, rlogin and printing, and incorporated RIP-based
routing to accommodate the sundry subnets which were appearing.
