Please bring something hard to write against - we haven't any clip-boards. 3. Method of Counting ------------------ Each road on your map is marked by a letter. The road the cyclist approaches the junction is marked in BIG letters. under each is a box for the exit road. Mark in the appropriate column. In the above example a cyclist entering by Smith St. and leaving by Fred St. is marked as shown. Use the "5-bar gate" method to record number of bikes, e.g. Bike 1 is 1, Bike 2 is 11, .. ... Bike 5 is , Bike 6 is etc. 4. REMEMBER every 15 minutes to go to the next line down the chart. 5. Bikes being walked rather than ridden must be counted. 6.
