A couple of points to remember when setting
up tables with SCRIBE:

 - tables are intrinsically 'unfilled', thus,
   an unfilled environment should be used

 - the use of the tab mechanisms enables a
   proportionally spaced typeface to be used
   when setting up tables - a shift into a
   fixed width typeface and building up the
   table with lots of embedded spaces is
   unecessary and inefficient
