SCRIBE has its own internal tab mechanisms
which allow us to set up tables of various
types using either proportionally spaced or
fixed width fonts.

The tabbing commands are divided roughly into
two groups; those for controlling the placing
of tab stops, and those controlling movement
to the tab stops when encountered in the
manuscript.
