number at the centre of the page.

The default page footing is blank.

Page headings and footings do not appear on
page 1 of documents, and whenever a page
heading or footing is set, whatever was being
used before is overwritten.

Page headings and footings do not appear
until the start of the page after the one in
which they were set.
