SCRIBE - Design Philosophy.

The database exists as a part of the SCRIBE
system and may only be accessed by SCRIBE
itself. One disadvantage of this is that the
demanding user who may not be satisfied with
the system definition of what (say) a manual
or a quotation etc. should look like, cannot
change this.

Fortunately, SCRIBE does allow the user to
change the formats imposed by the system
database from within the input file - again
by the insertion of only a few (usually one)
commands.
