SCRIBE - Design Philosophy.

SCRIBE adopts a different approach. Instead
of exactly specifying the output format in
absolute terms, SCRIBE requires that the
user's needs are stated in some fairly
general way, for example:

   'use a certain type of printer'
   'prepare a manual'
   'format this text as if it were computer
    output'
   'start a new chapter'
