Text Processors - What's Available?

Text processors vary enormously in complexity
and sophistication, and in the range of
devices for which they can produce output.

At the bottom end of the scale, there is the
ubiquitous 'word-processor' found on many
microcomputers, and often incorporating or
incorporated in a text editor.

At the other end of the scale are fully
integrated dedicated phototypesetting systems
which are really only suitable for use by
trained professionals.
