@centre[SCRIBE Course - Autumn Term 1985] Please find enclosed the timetable for the above course, which will be held in room G4 on the ground floor of 59 George Square. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with either myself or the Receptionist at 59 George Square on 667-1011 extension 2300. If for any reason you will be unable to attend the course, please inform us straight away, so that we can fill the vacant place from our waiting list. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that this is an intensive course describing the use of a large and sophisticated piece of software. In order to benefit from the course, you should have some degree of familiarity with the EMAS operating system, and in particular, should be capable of creating text files using one of the text editors available on EMAS. The practical sessions will be geared to helping you produce a document of your own design, so it would be a help if you arrived with a reasonably clear idea of some document you wish to format. It doesn't really matter what it is - a departmental memo, a letter, a lecture handout, anything will do as long as it is reasonably short - 5 or 6 pages at most. I look forward to seeing you and hope you will find the course both useful and enjoyable. @signature[Roger Hare]
