This collection is by no means complete and there is no substitute for examination of the JNT PAD Terminal Users' Guide. Nor are the more 'exotic' features and values of the various parameters which can be set, described. However, the following should be enough to get you started. $b1%Introduce yourself to the PAD by typing CR (perhaps repeatedly so that the PAD can ascertain your terminal line speed. $b1%Call the host of your choice by typing 'call ' to the PAD> prompt e$.g$. $l3m PAD>call 2972 $b1%Help is available by typing 'help' to the PAD> prompt to obtain information as to what the PAD knows about (address, profile, escape, command) e$.g$. 'help address' gives all the names of the hosts known to the PAD. $b1%PAD> prompt can be obtained during an interactive call by pressing the 'break' key (also DLE (ctrl + P) followed by A - see the Guide). $b1%Delete the last character typed by pressing DEL. $b1%Cancel the typed line by pressing ctrl + X. $b1%Retype the line just entered by pressing ctrl + R. $b1%Video terminal is the default, if on a hard copy terminal, type 'printer' in response to the PAD> prompt. $b1%Transparent output mode (characters on output all passed to the terminal) can be entered by typing 'transparent' to the PAD> prompt.
