The other day Igor Hansen and I were asked to hang around while someone saved their ROGUE game state, this at a time when all south m/c hall APMs were busy, three of them playing ROGUE. Note, please: Games and non-educational projects must not interfere in any way with the normal staff and student business of the department. 1) A machine running a computer game has exactly the same status as a completely unoccupied machine i.e. the user must expect to be kicked off at ZERO notice and has no complaint when he is. This means that he can't expect others to wait while he exits in a controlled manner. 2) Graphics APMs are in short supply. Don't use them or other APMs for that matter for games unless there are plenty spare. JHB
