TeX on the APMS

!<Where to find things - (Filestore B unless otherwise stated).

*The source (in C) is on the gould in my care.
*The object code is in apmtex:
*The macros and common input files (such as .sty files) are in texmac:
*The font metric files (.tfm files) are in texfnt:
*The same old stuff is in this directory, the pxl fonts files etc are untouched.

!<Differences from "standard" versions

*Filenames > 12 characters, most notably:-
	texmac:titlepage.sty -> titlepag.sty
	texmac:twocolumn.sty -> twocolum.sty
		- This means that if you wish to use twocolumn as an option in
		- the \documentstyle directive then you must call it "twocolum"
		- without the n.
		- However the \twocolumn directive is still ok.
	
*As yet (ie until several people ask for it) there is no way of calling the 
 editor directly from TeX.

A few things may have "got lost" on the way down to the Filestore. Just mail 
me stating what they are, and where they are & I'll copy them.

To get it to go much faster, preload it - I could put this in the setup file
if people want it.
type "preload apmtex:virtex.mob,texmac:plain.fmt" if you use plain TeX, 
and  "preload apmtex:virtex.mob,texmac:lplain.fmt" if you use LaTeX.
